Headline:

A chilly night but turning wet on Monday.

This Evening and Tonight:

Showery rain gradually easing in eastern counties with clear periods developing for many. Turning cold with some frost and fog developing, especially in the east under any clearer skies. Freshening winds in Cornwall later. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Monday:

Early fog and frost soon clearing with a little brightness in places during the morning. Freshening southeasterly winds with further rain, heavy at times, spreading east through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying unsettled with heavy rain, showers and strong winds at times. Particularly wet and windy on Tuesday and Thursday with gales in places. Only brief sunnier interludes at times.
