Plenty of clear spells going into the evening and turning chilly. Cloudier conditions soon developing near the coast and perhaps spreading further inland later in the night. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Monday:

A bright day with mainly fine, dry weather and light winds. Plenty of sunny spells initially, but sunshine perhaps becoming hazy during the afternoon. Risk of patchy rain overnight. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Dry and bright for Tuesday and Thursday with sunny spells, though cloudier on Wednesday with a few spots of rain. Breezy at times and turning warmer, perhaps hot by Thursday.

The first few days of this period are likely to see something of a northwest-southeast split in the weather across the UK. Areas towards the north and west are most likely to often be cloudier, with spells of rain, some of which could be heavy and accompanied by breezy conditions. Further southeast, a greater chance of drier conditions, although given the potential for high temperatures and high humidity, there is the possibility of some thunderstorms breaking out as well. Towards late June, there is a signal for more widely settled conditions to develop with high pressure more likely to dominate, with temperatures probably remaining above average for most.

High pressure is expected to lie close to the UK at the start of this period, bringing largely settled and dry conditions. Temperatures will likely be above normal, with the potential for hot conditions to develop, especially in the south. Further into July, the influence of high pressure may weaken or shift more to the north or west of the UK, bringing an increasing chance of more unsettled weather and thunderstorms, especially in the south. Temperatures will probably ease back closer to normal too, although some warm and humid spells remain possible at times.
