Fine and dry through the evening with hazy sunshine at times as patchy cloud builds from the west. Clear spells overnight allowing temperatures to fall to low single figures in places. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Wednesday:

Another fine and dry day, with only limited amounts of high cloud. With lighter winds and widely sunny skies, it will be feeling warmer than on Tuesday for most. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Turning cooler Thursday, with showery outbreaks of rain by the afternoon. Likely staying dry Friday with sunny spells, but increasingly breezy later. Rain into Saturday clearing to a bright day.

It will likely remain rather changeable during the first part of this period with showers or occasional longer spells of rain affecting many areas. Whether this takes the form of successive weather systems pushing in from the Atlantic or a more slowly evolving weather pattern remains rather unclear. There may also be some drier and brighter interludes and when winds are light, it should feel quite warm, despite temperatures most likely being close to normal for most. Later in the month more blocked weather patterns become more likely, with high pressure in the vicinity of the UK. This increases the probability of more settled weather, especially in the north but there may still be periods of rain or showers, especially in the south.

Blocked patterns with high pressure near to the UK will probably be dominant during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, especially in the south, where rainfall amounts could be above average. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
