Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Cloudy start with bright or sunny spells developing on Christmas Day. Breeze easing Boxing Day. Similar but breezier on Saturday. Also turning colder.

High pressure is likely to dominate across the UK at the start of this period and through to the end of the year.
