Today:

Often cloudy with some spots of rain and drizzle first thing. Perhaps some brighter spells later. Strong, gusty winds easing though still fairly breezy in the afternoon. Feeling cold. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud clearing to the south through this evening leading to a bright but cold start on Sunday morning with a chance of some patchy frost. Winds much lighter. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunday:

After a chilly start, Sunday will bring some sunshine but it will feel notably colder, particularly in northerly winds. Frost overnight. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Into the new week it will continue to feel cold, particularly in brisk winds. Overnight frosts are likely with a chance of some wintry showers around exposed coasts and hills.

Colder conditions, already affecting the far north of the UK are likely to extend south to affect all parts through the early part of the period. Initially we may see some less cold conditions with some cloud, rain and possibly hill snow affecting parts of the west. It is as this clears Wednesday that the colder conditions will extend south, bringing some snow showers into northern parts, and the first frosts of the season for many parts of the south. Later in the period, there is likely to be a trend towards more changeable conditions is possible, with some rain or showers in places, and perhaps some hill snow at times in the north. Temperatures overall likely to return to near-average.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are very uncertain, there is a greater chance of slower evolving weather patterns. This could bring rain or showers with hill snow also a possibility, mainly in the north. However, interspersed, there are also likely to be periods of high pressure, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
