Showers move into the south and west before settled conditions prevail next week
Showers, with possible thunderstorms, will move into the south and west of the UK for a time this weekend, before high pressure becomes re-established.

Mainly dry with sunny spells
A dry start with good sunny spells, but cloud bubbling and, while most places will be dry, the odd afternoon shower is possible over the hills. Feeling warm with light winds, although the east coast cooler with an onshore breeze. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Some late sunny spells, then mainly dry with clear spells overnight, although haar may affect the east coast and the far west becomes cloudier towards dawn with a patchy rain. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Dumfries and Galloway start cloudy with occasional rain, otherwise bright with sunny spells, east coast haar soon clearing. Showers develop for the afternoon, these, especially in west, heavy at times. Maximum temperature 22 °C.
Dry with good spells of sunshine through the coming days, although haar may affect the east coast. Warm in the sunshine, although the east coast cooler with onshore breezes.
