Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, mainly northwest. Breezy but mild

Cloudy, with outbreaks of rain, most frequent in the north and west, and heaviest over hills, with some hill fog possible. Southeastern parts drier, with perhaps the odd brighter interval. Breezy, especially over uplands. Feeling very mild for early November. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Little change, with hill fog and some drizzle overnight, especially across the Derbyshire hills. Outbreaks of heavier rain soon spreading north and east, perhaps briefly extending across all parts. Mild. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday:

Still large amounts of cloud, but perhaps a few more brighter spells developing in the east. Chance of some rain into western parts. Feeling very mild despite the strong breeze. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Rather cloudy and mild Thursday and Friday, with occasional showers and drier intervals. Some sunny spells possible. Largely fine Saturday with sunny spells and perhaps isolated showers. Winds becoming light.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some spells of drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east, and bring the risk of some overnight fog which could be slow to clear through the day. Temperatures most likely to be around average, particularly at first, and probably overall. Should it become more settled, the chance of overnight frosts would also increase.

A greater chance of periods of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will most likely however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
