Today:

Another mostly cloudy day with bands of showery rain, some heavy, especially over Lochaber. Some drier, brighter interludes towards Inverness and over Caithness through the middle of the day. Much milder with strong southwest winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud and occasionally heavy rain soon clearing. Then dry with clear spells for a time before scattered showers overnight, heavy at times. Strong southwest winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tuesday:

Bright spells and a few showers in the morning, these heavy at times. Becoming largely dry through the afternoon. Strong southwest winds gradually ease. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wednesday morning dry and bright with light winds. Otherwise cloudy and windy as bands of rain and showers, some heavy, pass northeast through most of this period.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern becomes increasingly probable from around the 9th or 10th of the month, making drier interludes increasingly common. Temperatures most likely to be around average, particularly at first, and probably overall. Should it become more settled, the chance of overnight frosts would increase

A greater chance of periods of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will most likely however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
