This Evening and Tonight:

Dry this evening with some late sunshine in most places. Then staying dry overnight but cloud will spread inland from the east. Skye and Lochaber staying mostly clear. Patchy frost. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Wednesday:

A dry day. Overnight cloud will gradually lift and break to allow periods of afternoon sunshine. Best of the sunshine across Skye and Lochaber. Warm in the southwest. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Staying dry with plenty of sunshine once any overnight cloud has cleared. Warm in the sunshine. Light winds.

High pressure is likely to be centred close to or over the UK through much of the period. Therefore, many places will be largely dry with some clear or sunny spells, although there may be some overnight mist and fog patches. There could, however, be some outbreaks of rain or showers at times, especially in the west and northwest. Winds will be mostly light, but may be fresher around the coasts at times. Temperatures will generally be near to or a little above normal, but there may be some colder conditions at first in the far northeast. Towards the end of the period there is a chance that conditions turn a little more unsettled.

Residual high pressure will likely give way to more unsettled conditions through the early part of the period. This will probably allow Atlantic low pressure systems to spread towards the UK, increasing the chance of periods of heavy rain and perhaps strong winds at times. Towards the middle of the month, weather patterns become increasingly uncertain; however, the wettest and windiest conditions seem most likely to be in the northwest, with the drier and more settled conditions in the southeast. Temperatures will likely be near normal.
