A'Ghlas-Bheinn (Highland) weather

Headline:

Mainly dry and bright Tuesday but rain spreading north later.

This Evening and Tonight:

The west will be cloudy at first with a few showers, these slowly dying out overnight. Otherwise, dry with lengthening clear spells. Becoming cold inland with patchy fog and frost in places. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday:

A mostly dry morning with sunny spells. Cloud and rain spreads into the south in the afternoon, reaching all parts during evening. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Outbreaks of locally heavy rain continue through Wednesday. Showers spread south overnight, becoming wintry on high ground in a strong and cold northerly wind Thursday and Friday.

Many central and northern parts of the UK will likely be in a colder but drier regime than of late with overnight frosts, and a few showers near windward coasts in particular which may be wintry on high ground. However, it could remain cloudier, milder and wetter initially across some southern and southwestern areas, with some uncertainty as to how quickly this clears away to the south. It is most likely that the bulk of the UK will experience drier and colder conditions into the first part of next week. Later in the period there is increasing uncertainty, but a trend towards more changeable conditions is possible, with some rain or showers in places, and perhaps some hill snow at times in the north. Temperatures overall may return to near-average.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are very uncertain, there is a greater chance of spells of high pressure during this period, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will probably still be some spells of rain, showers, and stronger winds though, especially in the west. Hill snow is also a possibility, mainly in the north. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
