Today:

The morning will begin dry with sunny spells. Cloud will soon build bringing a few showers. These showers will clear during the afternoon. Light rain and drizzle will spread to the Western Isles from late afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

After a dry start east before cloud and outbreaks of light rain or drizzle push in from the west. This will become heavy at times in the northwest towards morning. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday:

A few bright spells north at first otherwise cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times in the west, spreading east in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Showers, some heavy and thundery Tuesday. These clear for a time Wednesday. A band of heavy rain pushes southeast Wednesday night, turning showery Thursday.

Remaining changeable, with occasional rain or showers arriving from the North Atlantic, most frequent across northern and western parts of the UK, where some strong winds will also be possible at times. However, there will also be some reasonably dry and more settled periods interspersed, especially across southern areas. Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall, but there is scope for some rather warm days at times, along with occasional relatively cool nights giving the occasional grass frost.

Most likely remaining changeable, with further spells of rain and showers arriving from the North Atlantic. Strong winds possible too at times, these most frequent across the north and west. Some short-lived settled spells are also possible, these most likely in the south. Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall.
