Low cloud and outbreaks of rain over Shetland through the evening but mainly dry over Orkney. Further rain will then spread north across all parts overnight. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Friday:
Overnight rain clearing away in the morning with some haar at first across Shetland. Then mainly dry with some hazy sunshine and just the odd shower possible. A bit warmer. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Often dry and with bright spells and variable cloud through the weekend and but cloudier with some rain possible early Sunday. A touch cooler, cloudier Monday with rain at times.
