This evening will be cloudy with a few outbreaks of rain. Then the rest of the night will be cloudy with occasional rain but some drier spells too. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday:

A cloudy day with spells of rain although becoming generally drier during the afternoon. Chance of further rain in the evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Dry and bright for most of Thursday but rain likely by evening. Overnight rain on Friday soon clearing then mainly dry and bright. Dry and bright on Saturday.

An unsettled period is likely, with many places seeing showers or longer spells of rain at times. Rain is expected to be most frequent across northern and western areas, while the south and east are more likely to see longer, drier spells. There is also the potential for some strong and gusty winds, particularly in the northwest. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although brief warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Confidence is very low from mid-September onwards. Initially, a continuation of the changeable pattern is most likely, with the wettest conditions in the northwest and longer drier interludes in the southeast. As we head further into September, the distribution of rainfall becomes increasingly uncertain at this range. Settled or dry spells are still likely between weather systems. Temperatures are likely to be around average overall, although some warm spells are possible, particularly in the south.
