Today:

It will often be wet today in southern areas with rain at times. Further north it looks mostly dry, albeit largely cloudy. Very mild with light winds, though feeling cooler in any rain. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Rather damp in the south this evening but turning generally dry overnight with the odd remaining shower. A colder night with the possibility of the odd frost and fog patch. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Saturday:

A few showers through the morning, but for most it will be a dry day with cloud alternating with occasional sunny intervals. Somewhat less mild but winds generally light. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Wetter and windier on Sunday with occasional drizzly rain, this most frequent over the hills. Generally drier on Monday but showery rain still possible. Perhaps brighter on Tuesday. Staying mild.

Much of this period looks like being largely dominated by high pressure, especially towards the south or southeast of the UK. This will mean many places seeing plenty of dry weather with variable cloud amounts and some sunshine, the best of this towards the south or southeast, but perhaps with some fog overnight. However, frontal systems are still likely to affect the north and west of the UK at times though, maybe also briefly affecting other parts, bringing some rain and strong winds, and perhaps a little snow to the high ground in the north. Temperatures will be near or above normal, although patchy overnight frost is still likely at times.

Little change at first, probably most unsettled in the west and northwest but drier and brighter toward the east and southeast. Lower confidence late-March but perhaps a trend toward more blocked and slow-moving weather patterns, although uncertain whether this will lead to cyclonic and so more unsettled weather or anti-cyclonic, more settled and maybe colder patterns in the vicinity of the UK. In general, some rain still probable but distribution of any wetter areas is extremely low confidence. Temperatures overall near or above average, perhaps with a slightly increasing chance this may trend colder toward the end of the month.
