The fine weather will continue overnight. There will be lots of sunshine to end the day. Patchy cloud will develop overnight, but remaining dry. Quite a warm night too. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Tuesday:

Some cloud will feed southwards across the region on Tuesday, bringing a small risk of a shower. However, most places staying dry and still feeling hot where the sun appears. Maximum temperature 28 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

The weather will stay warm through the week, though cooler than recently. There will be some sunshine at times, though a chance of a few showers, which could turn thundery.

The south of the UK is expected to be mainly fine and dry at the start of this period, with temperatures well above normal. It will be cloudier in the north with some rain at times, this heavy in places. Moving into early June, conditions will likely become unsettled across the UK as a whole. Atlantic weather systems will move in from the west bringing showers or longer spells of rain at times. The rain will likely be heaviest in parts of the west and northwest. Temperatures will probably be near normal.
