Bright start, but turning cloudy with rain arriving later.
A dry and bright start on Monday but skies will cloud over from the west by late morning. Outbreaks of rain arriving from early afternoon, becoming locally heavy and persistent over the hills of Cumbria. Strengthening southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Further outbreaks of rain tonight, turning heavy over the hills. Rain will turn lighter and patchier towards dawn. Gusty southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Cloudy with further outbreaks of light rain and drizzle at first, skies gradually brightening with sunny spells developing. Slightly warmer than recent days. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Settled on Wednesday with plenty of hazy sunshine. Turning cloudier from the south later with a risk of thunderstorms overnight, remaining warm and changeable for the rest of the week.
