Headline:
Dry with long sunny spells, some patchy cloud.
Today:
A dry day with some lengthy sunny periods, especially for Orkney. Turning cloudier across the north and east of Shetland before this spreads into parts of Orkney later this afternoon. Moderate northerly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Tonight:
Some late sunny spells interspersed with patches of low cloud this evening. The rest of the night will be dry, but turning widely cloudier from the north through the night. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Sunday:
Dry but with a good deal of cloud in the morning. Decent sunny spells developing through the day, but the north and east of Shetland perhaps remaining rather cloudy. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Remaining settled and largely dry. Areas of cloud will tend to break up at times during the day to give some sunnier spells. Gentle to moderate northerly breeze.
